Blue Circle Foods Launched

Focus on Organic and Sustainable Markets

Washington, D.C. — Blue Sea, LLC is launching Blue Circle Foods, a company dedicated to marketing and distributing high-quality, responsible seafood. Adhering to strict environmental standards, the firm will market to select U.S. retailers specializing in organic foods and verifiable sustainable practices. A new website www.bluecirclefoods.com features the company’s philosophy, practices, and products.

“We promote healthy, delicious seafood while serving as good stewards of Nature’s resources,” noted Bill Cole, one of Blue Circle’s owners. “Whether we get our seafood from pristine fjords in Norway or the Indian Ocean, our partners employ industry-leading humane practices that protect the environment – from catch to consumer.”

Products include sustainably certified and organically certified fresh and frozen salmon, smoked items and hand-line tuna.

Blue Circle’s founders and owners are four partners with deep roots in the organic food industry. Partner Nora Poullion, the owner and chef of Restaurant Nora, in Washington, DC, is the first certified organic restaurant in the United States.

Formed in 2005, Blue Sea LLC also owns the Changing Seas brand and has gained a reputation as a first-rate supplier of both fresh and frozen seafood to leading chefs, artisan retailers, and select or exclusive distributors.
