Salmon Sausage Chicago Inspired Toast
Phillip Tang’s amazing Chicago-style toast pairs our Original Salmon Sausages with classic toppings like onion, chives and giardiniera.


  • 2 Original Salmon Sausages
  • Thick slice of toasted sourdough bread⁠
  • 1 Tablespoon mayonnaise ⁠
  • 1 onion, sliced thinly⁠
  • 1 tablespoon chives, thinly sliced⁠
  • 1-2 tablespoons hot or mild giardiniera ⁠
  • juice of 1/2 a lemon⁠


Caramelize onions with oil or butter in a pan on medium-low heat until caramelized.⁠ Fry salmon sausages according to the instructions of the package. Cut into thick pieces⁠. Spread mayo on toast. Add caramelized onions on top. Then add sliced sausages. Sprinkle on chives.⁠ Squeeze lemon over the top of the toast. Add giardiniera on top to your liking. Enjoy! ⁠
