  • 5-6 Raw Pacific White Shrimp, peeled and minced
  • 1/4 lb ground pork
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Egg wrap:

  • 3 eggs
  • salt
  • cooking oil

In a bowl, add ground pork and minced shrimp and marinate it with the seasonings Heat up the oil in a cooking pan on medium, whisk the egg and add salt as needed then pour it into the pan. Let it cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until it is firm Once the egg is cooked, carefully put it on a board and use a circle shape cutter that is similar to the size of a dumpling wrap and cut the egg Add a tablespoon of marinated filling to the center of the egg wrap and gather the edges to shape the Siu Mai. Press down gently to flatten the bottom so it can stand upright. Steam the Siu Mai for 10-12 minutes on medium heat.
